Kaahaani Ghar is a growing universe of characters pulled straight from Indian folklore: heroes, spirits, tricksters, and everything in between, each with their own story. A Tale Behind the Tale tells you which folklore that month's story is drawing from, which community or part of India it belongs to, and a bit of context around it — how it's traditionally told, what it means where it comes from, sometimes a small detail we came across while researching it. So by the time you've finished the zine, you're not just left with a nice story. You know where it's from.
